FAQ

Frequently Asked Question

What sort of dental insurance is accepted?

All forms of private insurance are accepted at Saberton, we also accept:
Insurance from Ontario Works/Ontario Disability (OW/ODSP)Veterans insurance
Non-Insured Health Benefits for First Nations and Inuit (NIHB)
OHIP currently does not cover any fees for dentures.

Can payment plans be used for extractions or dental implants?

Yes! Saberton Denture & Implant works with many area dentists to provide dental care that can be added to the payment plan offer.

These dental procedures include extractions, fillings, x-rays, as well as dental implants, crowns, and bridges.

Our free consultation appointment is the starting point to help determine what treatment is necessary, as well as the costs involved. Once this is determined, we can then design the payment plan based on all estimated costs.

How long does it take to get my new dentures?

We typically book each of the denture steps once every week or two, so the whole process can take anywhere for 5 to 8 weeks.

However, every patient's needs are different, each denture is custom made and additional needs such as extractions or implants can delay the treatment time.

Who is eligible for free senior dental care?

The Ontario Senior Dental Care Program (OSDCP) is available to individuals who meet the following criteria:

1) Must be 65 years of age or older
2) Must be a resident of Ontario
3) Must have an annual individual income less than $22,200 or $37,100 per couple.
4) Must have no other dental benefits including Ontario Works, Ontario Disability, or private insurance. Each region of Ontario works with specific denture clinics in each region and we are in the process of enrolling with each branch that has one of our offices.

As of June 30, 2022 we are partially or fully available to receive Ontario Senior Program patients in Hamilton, Niagara, and Halton. The referrals to our office still have to go through the region's public health unit, so if you think that you are a candidate, the first step is to fill out an application Program, application forms can be found using this link.

The Saberton difference is in the knowledge we'll give you.

The Saberton Difference means our main goal is to help inform and guide our patient in how they can better their life, based on a unique care plan that is crafted for them. We offer free consultations to learn about you, your needs and your hopes. This allows us to come up with treatment option and to discuss them with you and help you make an informed decision. Our focus is on your well-being and quality of life.

Saberton is different from dentists because we are specialized in this field. Dentists will normally charge for an exam before giving any information about the denture process or treatment plan. Some denturists will offer free consultations, but these are mostly just an inventive way to make a sale.

Why you need a consultation?

It's simple. This is a big step and it needs to be the right one for you. There are several steps required in getting dentures and it takes 4 - 8 weeks (typically) to get into your new dentures. So we want to give you as much information about your treatment plan options, the range of quality and prices and help you make the best decision for you. Sometimes there will be other specialties that need to be brought in. We will guide you through the whole process and you will know what to expect.

What you can expect.

We want to hear directly from you about your situation. You deserve to be heard and understand we are here to help you navigate a path to a better quality of life. We will offer professional advice on how best to accomplish your goals.

"They are awesome here at Saberton. I always get an appointment quickly, the staff is very nice and professional, and dentures are made/fixed quickly and properly. I've been dealing with them for 5 years now and they've made it pain free! Keep up the good work."
