For most denture wearers, taking your teeth out at night is just part of the day. You lift them out, rinse them, set them in a glass by the sink, and give your gums a break until morning. Fixed-Feel Teeth (what we call DOI on a bar, or DOB)

Four implants are connected by a bar, and your denture clips onto that bar instead of onto each implant individually. Because the bar spreads the load evenly across all four implants, the fit feels noticeably more solid, closer to fixed teeth without actually being fixed. You still remove it yourself for cleaning, the same as Secured Teeth. What you'll notice is less movement while it's in, since four implants working together hold steadier than each one on its own. What About Permanent Teeth?

Permanent Teeth is the one option where the daily routine actually changes. Four to six implants support a bridge that's fixed directly onto them. You brush it in your mouth the way you would your own teeth, and you don't take it out at home.

"Permanent" describes how it feels day to day, not a promise that nothing ever moves again. The implants themselves are designed to last, and the bridge attached to them is checked and maintained by your dental team over time, not removed by you between visits. Can You Sleep in Implant-Supported Dentures?

For Secured Teeth and Fixed-Feel Teeth, no. Denturists generally recommend taking them out at night, the same as a traditional denture, so your gums get a break and the denture gets a proper clean. Sleeping in them regularly puts extra pressure on your gums and on the attachment components, which wears them down faster.

If your teeth are fixed in place, you brush and floss around them the way you would natural teeth, using tools like a water flosser or interdental brush to reach underneath the bridge where a regular brush can't.
